This is a blog I’ve been dreaming of writing for YEARS and the time is finally here. Introducing… Mallory Nikolaus x Beddy’s!
I’ve been posting, using, and sharing my love of Beddy’s for what feels like the better part of a decade. What started as a test-out comforter option for my boys turned into having Beddy’s in every single room of our house. Slowly, Beddy’s caught onto my love of their products, and a friendship with the two wonderful owners was born. Now, I finally get to share a dream of mine that has become a reality.
Today on the blog, I want to walk you through Mallory Nikolaus x Beddy’s! From my original excitement over the brand to designing a staple comforter for your home, this process has been so special and I cannot wait to share it.
What Is Beddy’s?
I talk about Beddy’s so much, but for those of you who don’t know what this brand is yet, let me introduce you to it. I’ve written an entire review on Beddy’s, so for additional details, read my post here.
Beddy’s is a bedding company founded by two moms I’ve grown very close to. Their names are Betsy Mikesell and Angie White. The whole company started in 2014 with Betty’s frustration over her twins’ inability to make their bunk beds. Over a decade later, these women truly show what it means to be moms who can do it all. They’re a huge inspiration to me. You can read about the journey to creating Beddy’s here.
How Does Beddy’s Work?
When Beddy’s are completely zipped, it looks like a perfectly made bed! You’ll see a trendy comforter pulled tight as if it’s a cozy bed in your favorite hotel. When you’re ready to get tucked in, you’ll unzip the easy zipper to your liking. You climb into bed and pull the blanket over you to be cuddled in the soft minky fabric on the inside. You have the option to either zip the bedding up like a sleeping bag so you’re nice and tucked in, or, you can sleep with it unzipped and it functions like a normal blanket or comforter.
In the morning, you can hop out of bed, pull the zipper to the top in under 5 seconds, and your bed is MADE!
My Love of Beddy’s Is Years In The Making
What started with me buying the first sets of comforters for my boys to try quickly snowballed into every bed in our house using Beddy’s. Yes, Craig and my bed in our primary bedroom has one too!
The bedding is just so easy to make every day without fuss. I do like to style each bed differently so they don’t look like the typical children’s bedding. With so many patterns, colors, and textures on their website, there is truly a style that will work for everyone, no matter their age.

Let Me Introduce… Mallory Nikolaus x Beddy’s!
When Beddy’s brought the collaboration opportunity to me, I took the design and style of my bedding seriously. Immediately, I knew I wanted to design a sophisticated, mature bedding that still had a touch of that grandmillenial style I’ve made my own over the years. Since the star of the show would be the outer comforter, I wanted to design it first. Before the process started, I sat down and thought about what I would want to purchase myself and love for years.
When it comes to the things in my home, while I love a statement, I tend to prefer a neutral base. So, I toyed around with the idea of neutral colors that would look good in a variety of homes and decided on a true-white color. That being said, one of my favorite tips to share is how texture can add intrigue to a space, so Beddy’s worked to create a ruched (wrinkle-free) texture that looks gorgeous paired with the creamy color.
On the inside, things got a little more creative! I’ve always found delicately patterned sheets to be really sophisticated and pretty in a home, so this is where I wanted to have some fun. With Monarch Home and the process of designing custom wallpaper prints, I knew just how indecisive I can get when it comes to patterns. Beddy’s (and a little help from Craig) brought up ideas that would compliment my style, without being too much.
We ended up creating these flowered tree branches that are a taupe color with a touch of warmth. It feels like the perfect pattern for any season so it feels timeless.
Of course, it didn’t feel right to make a base of a bedding setup without adding in the final touches. Beddy’s and I decided to add a touch of color with the most beautiful throw pillows and blankets for a cozy, layer but still an overall tailored look.
This finished bedding is absolutely everything I’ve dreamed of and I could not be more proud of the final result!
The Pillows Are Everything
In curating this collection of pillow designs, I was driven by the desire to share a styling formula that has transformed my own spaces: a solid, a texture, and a pattern. This trio is the cornerstone of sophisticated, layered pillow arrangements that elevate any room. The solid pillows provide a grounding element, the textured ones add depth and interest, and the patterned pillows tie everything together with a burst of character. By choosing this collection, you can effortlessly replicate a design strategy that is both accessible and impactful, ensuring that anyone can achieve next-level pillow styling with ease. Whether you’re refreshing a living room or dressing up a guest bedroom, these selections empower you to create a visually engaging and cohesive look.
This process has been an absolute dream from start to finish and it’s with so much love in my heart that I thank the Beddy’s team and all of you for making this possible. My goal was to design bedding perfect for a primary bedroom, guest bedroom, dorm room, teen room, or little girls room! It’s exactly what I wanted and I cannot wait for you to try it out yourself!
