If you scroll on social media for even a few minutes, I’ll bet you will see an influencer talk about their Amazon Storefront. Although I don’t like to consider myself the typical “influencer”, I do talk about mine quite frequently. There can be a lot of ambiguity surrounding this program, so let’s pull back the curtain and discuss an influencer’s Amazon Storefront from my end.
Today on the blog, I’ll be chatting all about the Amazon Influencers Program and how my Amazon Storefront works. While this can feel like a sensitive subject at times, I want to be really open about how I utilize mine for anyone interested in starting their own. The beauty of the digital age is how easy sharing (and monetizing) your favorite products can be – if I can do it, anyone can.
What Is An Influencer’s Amazon Storefront?
An influencer’s Amazon storefront is like your personal shopping, but online. It’s where influencers, like myself, gather all our beloved products in one convenient spot for you to explore and shop.
How Does It Work?
I know a lot of us have shopped on an influencer’s Amazon Storefront before, but how does it actually work from my end? When you click on a product in my Amazon Storefront, it has an affiliate link attached to it. If you end up making a purchase on that item, Amazon pays me a small percentage (between 5% – 20%) of the commission they receive from the sale.
While it doesn’t cost you anything extra, it helps reward myself and other creators for showcasing products we love authentically that some of you may purchase down the line. If you see someone link to Amazon, I can almost guarantee it will be an affiliate link connecting to their Influencer Program account.
Here is an example photo of what an Amazon affiliate link looks like:
Can Anyone Set It Up?
To actually create a storefront, you have to first be a member of the Amazon Influencer Program. You have to apply and be accepted to create a storefront with commission opportunities. Amazon looks at follower and engagement metrics (on Instagram, TikTok, etc…) to see if you’d be a good fit. It was really easy for me to follow the steps and I heard back after about a week.
Why Do I Post About My Amazon Storefront?
When creating an Amazon Storefront, it has always been my goal t to showcase my favorite things with you in a way that’s easy to shop. While the majority of what I love to share revolves around home improvement, my storefront recommendations have grown into something much greater.
Amazon has really transformed over the past few years to be a hub for pretty much anything I want to shop for. This is why I applied to the Influencer Program to begin with and with Instagram stories, it’s much easier to share in an authentic way.
A Small Note:
I hope this goes without saying, but I only share products on my Amazon Storefront that I genuinely use, enjoy, and actually recommend. Yes, I do receive a commission from products purchased and it allows me to continue sharing what I love online. That being said, I spend a lot of time finding the best items, dupes, etc… that can improve your life in one way or another.
