If you missed it, the Monarch Revival Closet Remodel is halfway complete! As my first big project of 2024, it feels really good to get back into the design groove. Above all, I really wanted to create something both aesthetically pleasing and be functional everyday for Craig and I. While the basis of the room is complete, a lot needed to go into the organization to make it actually usable.
Today on the blog, I’ll be chatting all about the closet organization items I utilized to really make our new closet functional. While only part one is complete, I feel really confident these items will be here for a long time.
My Closet Organization Essentials:
Drawer Organization
It never fails to amaze me how messy my drawers get. No matter how hard I try to keep things neat, without organization in it, things are jumbled. To try and fix this issue, I was really intentional in choosing organization items that would actually work for me.
For my bra and underwear drawer, I used both an organizer meant specifically for them, and bamboo drawer dividers. They worked really well combined together. As for my regular cabinets, since some of my boys are younger, I put cabinet locks on the lower ones to ensure they never pinch their fingers.

Jewelry Organization
I absolutely love jewelry, but keeping track of it can be a nightmare. That’s why I swear by drawer jewelry organizers and built an RTA cabinet set specifically for them. With designated compartments for each piece, everything stays untangled and easy to find. I used stackable necklace holders specifically for longer pieces.
More important than anything else, there’s my special necklace display stand, which holds a piece of my heart – my dad’s ashes. It serves as a reminder of his presence every morning and night. This little part of my closet means everything to me.

Accessories Organization
As for accessories, I really wanted to create a space that allowed me to display the belts and purses I reach for while still keeping closet organization in mind. I brought in this really cool clear belt organizer with room for all four of my belts. For purses, I wanted something that would prop them up on my open shelving, but still let the purses themselves shine.

Antique Closet Accessories
I can’t write a closet organization post without adding a little bit of decorative elements to it. I really wanted to have enough closet organization to leave room for a couple pretty things that would bring my style into the space. I’ve loved the Anthropologie vintage gold mirrors for years, but decided to go with a less expensive version instead. It looks exactly the same for a fraction of the price. I also brought in a gorgeous gold and glass tray to display my perfumes on the open shelves. I absolutely love it.
Closet Organization Wrap Up
My closet organization journey is by no means complete, but I’m really happy with this start! I can’t wait to show you all the other side of the closet and focus on the little details I bring in to make it feel special. Do you have any closet organization essentials?
